Think of a way to leverage your IT experience and land resource to create a differentiated value proposition.
The critical step is to understand what are the unmet and unfulfilled needs out there. For example, consumers everywhere are demanding a lot of transparency (where was it produced, who produced it and how was it produced) in the food they are purchasing. For example, if you choose to produce fresh produce (fruits and vegetables) your IT skills can help you differentiate by offering transparency and if you are able to do this you can build a good B2B and/or B2C brand. My experience with agribusinesses around the world suggest that branding is possibly the only way to make assured profits in agribusiness.
Depending on your risk appetite and ambition you can innovate on business model. At the very extreme end you can design a well worked out growth plan, demonstrate with a small pilot and seek investments for the project. There are many innovative sources of financing for differentiated plans in agribusiness.
In essence you require a differentiated approach to be able to make something out of the possibility you have.
