Possible questions you need to try and answer are:
- “Why” are your interested in food processing?
- Would you like to contribute to this industry as a professional/entrepreneur?
You may not have clear answers to these questions but reflecting on these questions in your personal context can help you come to some meaningful conclusions.
If the answer to (1) is that you are interested in science/technology of food and believe that you can excel in the research & development and/or foodtech development then you could consider doing a food technology masters to gain some confidence in this field. You could also take up a real job and consider doing a part-time online program to enhance the relevance and effectiveness of the learning.
If your answer to (1) is that you are interested in the business of food processing and would like to contribute to it as a professional and/or entrepreneur i would suggest that you consider starting your work as soon as you finish up your engineering and carry out learning through online programs. If you really wish to get international study exposure (Canada/Australia) feel free to do so in the area of Food Business/Food Entrepreneurship.
